Greatness Has Been Found . . .

In front of 80,203 fans (a record for women's soccer) at Wembley Stadium in London today, the Women of Team USA have Three-Peated themselves into the record books for all time. These Golden Stars, ranked #1 in the Soccer (Futbol) World, have participated in ALL FIVE Olympic Gold Medal Matches since it was introduced at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. No other Team in the World has ever accomplished such a glorious place in sporting history (4 Golds and a Silver, with eleven straight Olympic Victories), and is a feat that will more than likely never be accomplished again.

For US Soccer Fans, it has been a long 389 day wait for redemption from a heart-breaking Penalty-Kick Loss to Japan at last year's World Cup Grand Final. Today, Carli Lloyd (scoring in the 8th and 54th minutes) and Hope Solo (playing one of the best games of her career), led Team USA to a tremendous 2-1 victory over Japan. Also, Team Canada captured the Bronze Medal with a 1-0 win over France.

The Olympic Games have always struck a powerfully emotional chord in my heart and spirit. As I get older, and hopefully wiser, I have learned to appreciate 'why' I love watching for two weeks every four years. It gives me GREAT HOPE for the Human Race when I see people performing these unbelievably amazing feats of grace and strength, while under the pressure of representing their country as millions of people watch.

Today, because of the never-quit-attitude of the US Women's Soccer Team, I am extremely proud to be an American . . . but from the 2012 Olympic Games in London, I am Honored to be a part of the One Tribe of Humans here on Planet Earth.

Ever Yours,
Jahmahn
