The US Goalkeeper Hope Solo (#1), considered to be the best in the world, extended her minutes without a goal-against to record levels above 740+ minutes. In today's game she was hardly tested against Colombia, having to make only a few saves. Check out more of her at:  Hope Solo . . . Top US goal scorer Abby Wambach (#20) had another scoreless match today that included several exciting near-misses. She was also given a yellow card late in the game for a questionable call while attempting a shot on goal. See more of her at:  Abby Wambach . . .

USA Women will advance to the Elite Eight Knockout Stage after one more 1st Round Match verses Sweden on Wednesday 7/6 at 2:45pm EST on ESPN. The US only needs to tie Sweden to be ranked top of their group heading into the quarter finals. Please Support the USA Women ! ! !
